This year the EUCC-UK website has also been updated with the new EUCC logo. David R. Green continues to represent both the EUCC and EUCC-UK at various meetings, seminars and conferences. For example, as a EUCC-UK representative to the annual keeps Scotland Beautiful meeting in Stirling for the Seaside Awards. Together with the Blue Flag organisation EUCC-UK is also involved in researching the improvement of the quality of beach and marina maps for information communication. Involvement in a Joint Research Centre (JRC) workshop on Status and requirements for Climate Change Research in the European Regional Seas culminated in a final report. In March 2007, David R. Green took part in a NORTH SEA COMMISSION. Sustainable Development Conference entitled Delivering Change in Coastal Regions in Banff, Scotland. He also made a presentation on improving beach mapping to the Blue Flag National Operators meeting in Toronto, Canada in November 2007. EUCC-UK was also represented in Aberdeen at the ECO-IMAGINE Training Workshop on the use of GIS for Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM).

A recent issue of Coastline on Coastal Data and Information highlighted the importance of spatial data to the coastal manager and practitioner. Recently David R. Green also took part in a review of a sustainability report (focusing on renewable energy, climate change, CO2 footprints, and coastal habitats) for an Oil and Gas company in Canada.

Involvement from EUCC-UK members is also highlighted through membership of the Editorial Board of the new Journal of Coastal Conservation Planning and Management (Springer) launched in September 2007.
