LITTORAL 2027 – Inclusive Coasts
7–9 September 2027 | University of Greenwich, London, UK
EUCC is pleased to announce LITTORAL 2027 – Inclusive Coasts, taking place from 7–9 September 2027 at the University of Greenwich, London, in cooperation with the University of Greenwich.
The conference will mark the 18th EUCC International Conference, continuing a long-standing European tradition of bringing together academia, policymakers, practitioners and coastal stakeholders to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaboration and address the challenges facing Europe’s coasts.
A long-standing coastal conference series
EUCC has been organising international conferences on coastal and marine issues since 1987.
Originally held under the name Coastlines, the conference series joined forces with Eurocoast in 2002, giving rise to the LITTORAL Conferences.
Held every two years at universities across Europe, LITTORAL conferences focus on the littoral zone – the dynamic interface between land and sea – and provide a forum for dialogue, knowledge exchange and collaboration across the European coastal community.
Inclusive Coasts
LITTORAL 2027 – Inclusive Coasts will explore how we can build coastal futures that are environmentally sustainable, resilient and inclusive, bringing together different perspectives and expertise from across the coastal community.
The conference will also provide opportunities for young professionals and early-career researchers to connect, exchange knowledge and contribute to the coastal dialogue through the Young Professionals Coastal Community (YPCC). Established by EUCC in 2011, the YPCC connects students, early-career professionals, educators and senior experts through learning, field activities, research development and dedicated conference activities.
Save the date and join us in London, 7–9 September 2027!
We look forward to welcoming you to LITTORAL 2027.
